DeathTolls Experience by Ali Eslami is here to change this. The VR experience confronts the emotional numbness caused by repeated exposure to death statistics, and aims to reawake your empathy!

Ali is an Iranian-Dutch artist based in Amsterdam. He merges speculative world-building with poetic engineering, exploring memory, cognition, and emotion, often informed by non-Western philosophy such as Suhrawardi’s Illuminationism. His engineering background and passion for video games fuel his focus on cybernetics and virtual worlds. He works across various mediums, using immersive media to question perception and technology’s role in shaping human experience.
